Welcome to our newest issue of Positioning Online.

Heyman Associates recently teamed up with advertising and public relations graduate students at the University of Alabama, under the leadership of Professor Bruce Berger, to create a groundbreaking study, “Executives’ Perceptions of Public Relations:  The Patterns that Lead to Success.”

By melding the views of nearly 100 public relations leaders from a cross-section of the profession, from major corporations to major universities, we believe the research report will help organizations identify, select and develop public relations professionals who embody the patterns of success outlined.

While the research did not find a “Holy Grail of Success,” it did identify 10 specific patterns and themes and reaffirmed some previously held theories about what makes an effective public relations practitioner.

Read the findings in the Executive Summary section of our extensive research study and learn what the pros have to say about what it takes to truly succeed in the PR field.
